Vinícius Jr Seriously Considered Arsenal Before Real Madrid Stay

Vinícius Júnior seriously considered joining Arsenal during the summer transfer window before ultimately deciding to remain at Real Madrid, according to his agent, Michael Yormark.

The Brazilian superstar was the subject of an ambitious pursuit by Arsenal while uncertainty surrounded his contract situation at the Santiago Bernabéu. The Premier League club reportedly made a strong effort to convince the winger that a move to England could be the next step in his career.

Speaking to SportsBoom, Yormark, president of Roc Nation Sports International, confirmed that Arsenal’s interest was genuine and that the player was prepared to listen to their proposal.

“Did he ever seriously consider Arsenal? I mean of course,” Yormark revealed.

“When a team like Arsenal rolls out the red carpet for you and makes you feel really wanted, then obviously you have to listen.”
